Center Mourns Trustee Emeritus Strachan Donnelley

Strachan Donnelley (1942 - 2008)
The Trustees and staff of the National Humanities Center are deeply saddened by the death of Strachan Donnelley on July 12. Donnelley joined the Board of the National Humanities Center in 1993 and served as a trustee until his retirement from the Board in 2003, when he was elected Trustee Emeritus. In 2006 he and his wife Vivian permanently endowed the Donnelley Family Fellowship, which is awarded annually to a scholar working at the intersection of nature, the
environment, and the humanities.
All who knew Strachan Donnelly at the National Humanities Center will remember with gratitude and admiration his friendship and generosity.
